Kiyoshi Yamamoto
A Bergen-based, London-educated, Brazil-raised textile artist, Kiyoshi Yamamoto weaves story and movement into his flowing textiles, dyed into a merging and converging rainbow.
Yamamoto has exhibited at Buskerud Kunstsenter, Heimdal kunstforening, Norske Grafikere og Soft galleri, and his work has been purchased by Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum i Trondheim, KODE Kunstmuseer og komponisthjem in Bergen, and the Norwegian Embassy in Brazil.
With recent exhibitions at the Bodø Biennale and LNM - The Association of Norwegian Painters, Yamamoto’s prolific presence in the Norwegian art scene is a lively, colourful, thought-provoking reminder of the multiplicities inherent in living in diaspora and through and of multiple cultures.
